I don't referee arguments, and I don't take sides. My job is to be on the side of the relationship. Nobody gets ganged up on in my room.
I've been married fifteen years myself, so I know this work from both sides of the room. A good marriage isn't the absence of hard seasons. It's what you learn to do with them.
Over the past eight years I've walked alongside many couples, through repeated conflict, broken trust, emotional distance and big transitions. I'm a Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.
Many couples notice a shift quite quickly once both people are willing to show up and do things differently. Emotional distance doesn't always mean the love is gone. More often, connection just hasn't been nurtured for a while. That can change.
